Six drums by one of the red-breasted variety over two minutes. He's so typically sapsucker. He begins each drum with four or five rapid taps over a quarter second, then plays out six to eight double (sometimes triple) taps over a second and a half to two seconds.

Background

Wilson's warbler, purple finch, Pacific-slope flycatcher, distant woodpecker drums (26 beats/sec).
